Now officially known as eFootball PES2020, there’s now a much bigger emphasis on playing PES in the online space, letting gamers dive into eFootball Pro tournaments, the PESLeague or the wholly new ‘Matchday’ Mode with extreme ease.
This never-before-seen game mode encourages players from all over the world to connect, choosing a specific side during weekly events to earn points while they play. Those that have earned the most points by the end of the week will be given the opportunity to compete in a live streamed final, with every user taking hold of one on-field player during the match.
A new era for the Pro Evolution Soccer series
Leo Messi dons the PES2020 cover for the first time since 2011, indicating the series’ keeping one foot in the beautiful football gameplay you love, with new flourishes that help keep things fresh. A lot of this has been informed by fan feedback, which has resulted in the likes of improved kick accuracy, better defense maneuvers and revamped player personalities.
This year’s PES club partnerships

Each of these teams feature updated player rosters in line with the current football season.
A remastered Master League mode
The fan-favourite Master League mode returns in eFootball PES2020, introducing a new intercative dialogue system that will allow players to better personalize their own story by choosing specific responses. It’s never been more thrilling to work your way all the way up to the Premier League from the bottom, made all the better by the inclusion of legendary managers such as Cruyff or Maradona.
