Today’s best PS4 deals – August 2020
Wer’re slowly starting to get more information on the upcoming PS5, including what the console will look like. However, we’re still unclear about the launch price of either version of the console, and we still don’t know when the console will release. As soon as we have these two pieces of information, we expect we’ll start to see pre-orders for the PS5 appear.
Why does this matter? Well, as soon as the starting pistol is fired on the PS5, we expect that we’ll begin to see some very exciting offers appear on the PS4. It could take until the traditional Christmas shopping period arrives to see some truly mind-boggling offers, but before then there’s likely to be some very exciting price drops, as retailers look to clear their shelves of the PS4 to make way for the PS5. A similar situation occurred when Sony replaced the original model PS4, and there’s every chance that we’ll see big discounts again come October/ November when the PS5 arrives.
Sony have recently announced that the DualShock 4 controller will only work on PS4 games being played on the PS5, not on PS5 games. This is a blow for long-time PS4 players who wanted to transfer their peripherals over to the PS5, and is all the more reason to upgrade to a PS4 and not get involved in the early battle to get your hands on a PS5. The PS4’s library of games is incredible and deep enough to keep you going for years, and with Sony having also confirmed that only select PS4 games will be backwards compatible, why not experience all the PS4 has to offer first?

The added benefits of buying a PS4 Pro
It’s becoming more and more common for manufacturers to launch alternate versions of each of their consoles in order to maximise their potential and help it appeal to casual and hardcore gamers alike.
