Agent 47 sneaks his way back onto the scene in the third instalment of IO Interactive’s rebooted Hitman trilogy – arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X as well as previous-gen consoles. Once again setting players off on a globetrotting journey in the pursuit of a shady criminal organisation, this suave conclusion to Agent 47’s latest venture features such locations as Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin and more. Whether on PS4 or PS5, VR headset owners can immerse themselves further into Hitman’s world of assassination by playing the entire trilogy in a first-person view. This unique compatibility will also retroactively apply to the previous game’s levels as well as those making their debut in Hitman 3, allowing those who can stomach it to garrot, snipe and slash their unsuspecting victims truly as Agent 47.
As with prior entries, IO Interactive has confirmed that Hitman 3 will allow existing players to import their progression and maps from Hitman 1 + 2 into the new title, complete with overhauled visuals. Fan-favourite maps like Sapienza and Paris will all look and play better than ever, with the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X versions of Hitman 3 in particular rendering them at their highest graphical fidelity.
