You can’t go a single year with seeing the release of even one Dungeons & Dragons game, and in 2021 it comes in the form of new third-person action, Dark Alliance. Venture into a mythical land full of frost giants, dragons and more in the attempt to defeat rampaging evil forces. Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance lets you mould your own dark fantasy adventurer, encouraging you to partner up with a squad of friends while growing ever stronger.
There are four heroes to choose from in Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance, each with their own unique playstyle, skills and abilities to master. Working with a team of three others will see your party operate at full capacity, suddenly able to unleash devastating combos that will help you topple gigantic monsters and threatening beasts.
Never before has it been easier to entrench yourself in a world of myths and monsters than in Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance, which combines all the perks of a co-op action brawler with a world steeped in lore. This particular D&D game is set in the tundra region of Icewind Dale, so you can expect to do battle with all kinds of ice-based beasties – either alone or alongside a team of friends on PS4 and Xbox One.
The four heroes you can play as in Dark Alliance are none other than Drizzt Do’Urden, Catti-brie, Wulfgar, and Bruenor Battlehammer, all of which were born out of the mind of best-selling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore and have been expertly brough to life here. All handle wildly differently from one another depending on their class, giving you and your squad a good degree of choice when the time comes to do battle. No hack-and-slash combat scenario need play out the same.
Those that play Dark Alliance solo can swap between four characters at will. However, having a full party of heroes means being able to tap into each character’s unique skills at once, earning better gear as the adventure progresses and planning any battle strategies accordingly. There’s an onslaught of creatures trying to stop you, so recruiting three additional friends is recommended.
