After well over a year of speculation and hype, the Xbox One X is finally here. The system has automatically become the de facto choice for gamers who are determined to eke the very best performance from their console.

Packed into a relatively minuscule shell is some truly remarkable processing power:

  • 6 Teraflops
  • 326GB/s of Memory Bandwidth
  • Internal liquid cooling system
  • 8GB flash memory

This might not mean a much, but it boils down to one key point. If you want the absolute best in terms of resolution and frame rate, the One X is the console for you. It's capable of playing certain games, including first party and third party, at an incredible 4K resolution at 60 FPS.

We know plenty of people will be looking to pick up a console for the holidays, so we'll use this post to clear up a few common questions. We have a more comprehensive post outlining the different Xbox One models, but if you want a quick overview, keep reading.

Xbox One X Q&A

First things first, the One X is not a new console, at least in the traditional sense. It uses all the same accessories and, crucially, games as the One and One S. The major difference it offers is via graphics and processing power, which can cut load times.

The One X also won't have any games released that the other Xbox One models can't play. The big difference is games marked 'Enhanced', which denote that they've been specifically optimised for the X.

Currently, there are no 'hard' bundles available for the X. These are the bundles that come with a game packaged in. The Scorpio edition is the only available variation, and that will be in very limited supply. The Scorpio version is identical save for some minor cosmetic alterations, and was intended for early adopters.

Don't forget to get in touch with us over Twitter or Facebook if you have any questions about the X or any of the other big consoles or games this winter. And of course, we'll have all the Xbox One X deals right here!
