The Games of 2013

Well, first of all a happy new year to everybody from the consoledeals.co.uk team, we hope it is full of plenty of gaming hours because 2013 is going to be a huge year for gaming! We’ve been bashing our heads together in the office trying to pick three of our most looked forward to games of 2013. In no particular order here is what we have come up with:
The fifth in the core series of Grand Theft Auto will be out this year and is expected to be released in the summer time, when the weather is fine! The story is set in Los Santos and for the first time ever the series poses you as a multitude of characters showing the same story from three different point of views ( a little like vantage point if you remember that! ).It also features the largest explorable world of any Rockstar game.
Rockstar promise that though the story will follow a similar structure as the past series of GTA games every mechanic has been evolved. One of the only things that we have heard wont be in the game that was in GTA IV is that brilliant dating system…. Well I imagine 99% of us would consider that an improvement. Available on Xbox 360 and PS3 (speculation on a release for the Nintendo Wii U)
Irrational Games’ latest project is the third in series of Bioshock, Infinite. It will take you from the ugly, dark underwater city of Rapture and up into the skies to the city of Columbia! Flight is the transport of choice and the open spaces are set to make a very different style of play.
Set in 1912 you play as a Disgraced former private detective who has picked up a new case to find a young woman, Elizabeth. The Cloud City of Columbia was once a great marvel of innovation, but strange things have happened and the city has disappeared into the clouds.
Definitely one to look out for this year, out on March the 26th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. I will follow this up with a review when I get my hands on it!
The Last of Us
Introducing the latest development from award winning studio Naughty Dog, The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3 exclusive survival action-adventure game. The game takes place after some crazy fungus has killed millions, the game focuses on the story of two survivors who are trapped in the quarantine zones. What we have seen so far of this has looked absolutely stunning, the main character Joel is looking after a young girl Ellie with the soul purpose of survival.
The Last Of Us won multiple awards at E3 2012 and is scheduled for release in May, I think this is the one that I am looking forward to the most, unfortunately it’s a PS3 exclusive.
With games like Beyond:Two Souls, Gears of War: Judgement, even Elder Scrolls Online 2013 is going to be a huge year for gaming, and an expensive one, with the possible release of the next Xbox console, the Steam Box, Nvidea’s own Handheld console
