2022 is officially here and Sony aren't pulling any punches as they have just officially announced their next foray into the VR space with PlayStation VR 2 via a blog. Compatible with the PS5, PSVR2 is being claimed to take VR to an entirely new level taking huge strides in innovation over its predecessor alongside a new VR controller aptly named: Playstation VR2 Sense controller.
Being touted as a true next-gen experience the PSVR2 is boasting all-new high fidelity visuals (4K HDR 110 degree field of view and OLED display 90/120Hz framerates), better headset-based controller tracking and new sensory features such as eye-tracking, headset feedback and 3D audio. All these new features with the additions of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to the new PSVR2 Sense controller are sure to make this a VR experience that is truly immersive and visceral. The thing that gets me most excited though, is this is all working on a single wire setup!
Furthermore, Sony revealed a new exclusive brought together by developers Guerrilla and Firesprite with: Horizon Call of the Mountain. This allows for players to explore and experience the world of Horizon in VR which definitely excites me and seems a fantastic IP to exhibit the potential of the PSVR2, check out a trailer for the game below.

So then what are your thoughts on the PSVR2? It certainly seems impressive on paper in terms of its power and capabilities definitely rivalling that of the higher cost VRs currently on market.
