PlayStation Vita Battery Life

By On 22nd September, 2011

Sony have made an announcement regarding the Playstation Vita’s battery life at the Tokyo Game show last week. Sony say that the next generation handheld is capable of up to five hours of gaming and video playback and nine hours of music playback thanks to a 2200 mAh Battery pack. These figures are based on the default brightness setting which is estimated to be between highest and lowest CNET reported. These times were calculated with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi disabled, both would reduce the battery life. To fully Recharge the Playstation Vita from empty to full will take 2 hours and 40 minutes. Very similar times to the Nintendo 3DS.

Started by a Playstation Blog that was ‘accidentally’ published revealed the release date for the US. the sixth axis however believe this is bogus date and a December release is highly unlikey.
