If you’re one of the few who has managed to hold out on pulling the trigger on buying a PS4 so far, there’s a good chance you’ve been doing so because you’ve been waiting for that one specific game to come out. At this stage, there’s not too many games left that have been in development since before the PS4 was released that have yet to come out, but Horizon Zero Dawn is one of them.
In development since 2011 (yep, you read that right - six years ago) and formally announced at the 2015 edition of the annual E3 conference, Horizon Zero Dawn has been top of many site’s “most anticipated” lists for 2017. The RPG’s concept - which has loosely been described as an exploration between the beauty and dangers of a world inhabited by a variety of robotic creatures - has been described as “risky” by the game’s director, but that risk appears to have paid off. The game has won the Best Original Game award at the Game Critics Awards in both 2015 and 2016, a testament to the game’s initial promise.
Whether you’ve been holding out for its release before investing in this generation of consoles or have been tempted into buying a PS4 to sit alongside your Xbox One or Wii U due to the fact that Horizon Zero Dawn is a PS4 exclusive, Sony have you covered.
From March 1st, the same day as the game’s PAL release, a Horizon Zero Dawn PlayStation 4 hardware bundle will be available. Coming with the game and a 1TB PS4 Slim model (which features the updated DualShock 4 controller) as well as a three month subscription to PlayStation Plus, the bundle is ideal for anyone making their first forays into the world of PS4.
In the past we’ve seen official bundles of this type offering some of the best value for money out there, and as the PS4 Slim model has now been out for some months, there’ll likely be good value available on the deal at release.
