PS4 console deals at Tesco

Tesco has unveiled their list of top Black Friday discounts for PS4, which is more than enough to get players excited about picking up a great bundle. Let’s start by running through all the PS4 Black Friday deals Tesco will be offering in store:

In-store PS4 console offers:

  • 500GB PS4 Slim bundle + FIFA 20: Was £249.99, now £189.99 for Black Friday 2019

Online PS4 game offers:

Tesco’s range of online Black Friday discounts also includes a range of top-tier titles like FIFA 20, Borderlands 3 and more. These are the game discounts that’ll be available online some time this morning:

We’re still awaiting official confirmation on Tesco’s best deals on the PS4 Slim and Pro, however if the current trends are anything to go by, Tesco will likely be undercutting most of the online retailers by around £10 on both consoles. This means we can expect to see deals along the lines of the following:

  • PS4 Slim + game (including FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) for £189 – RRP £249.99
  • PS4 Pro + game (including FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) for £289/299 – RRP £349.99

Unfortunately, Tesco don’t tend to have a great deal of stock on accessories for the PS4, meaning the chances of getting a big deal on a PS VR bundle seems quite slim. However, it’s entirely possible that the stores that stock the DualShock 4 controller could knock the price down to between £30 and £35, which is a nice bonus if you’re looking to pick up a second pad.

Online Xbox One game offers:

Xbox One games will see some heavy discounts at Tesco first thing on Friday. These are the savings you can look forward to online from Tesco today:

The Xbox One is where things get really interesting. After the news last week that Lidl would be apparently dropping the price of the Xbox One S All-Digital (RRP £199.99) to as low as £129, we received various pieces of intel that suggested this would be the standard price across most of the big retailers.

Tesco being Tesco, it now looks likely that they’ll drop the price even lower, to a jaw dropping £109. This is just about the cheapest price we can ever remember seeing for a main console, and new Xbox or no new Xbox next year, this is an absolutely incredible deal that isn’t to be missed. We expect this offer to be available from the Friday morning.

Xbox One S All-digital edition

Elsewhere, it looks as though Tesco will be once again leading the pack, with Xbox One S bundles expected to fall to around £169. It’s worth noting that one drawback of shopping in-store is that your bundle options are likely to be limited to only the hard bundles, rather than the more creative bundles we see online. This means, for example, there’s unlikely to be a dedicated Xbox One + FIFA 20 bundle available.

Nintendo Switch console deals at Tesco

In-store Nintendo Switch console offers:

  • Nintendo Switch console – Neon Red/Neon Blue: Was £279.99, now £249 for Black Friday 2019
  • Nintendo Switch console – Neon Grey: Was £279.99, now £249 for Black Friday 2019

In-store Nintendo Switch game offers:

  • Crash Team Racing: Was £29.99, now £19.99 for Black Friday 2019
  • Crash Bandicoot Trilogy: Was £29.99, now £19.99 for Black Friday 2019
  • Spyro Trilogy: Was £29.99, now £19.99 for Black Friday 2019
  • FIFA 20: Was £44.99, now £29.99 for Black Friday 2019

In-store Nintendo Switch accessory offers:

  • Neon Pink/Green Joy-Con controllers: Was £69.99, now £54.99 for Black Friday 2019
  • Neon Red/Blue Joy-Con controllers: Was £69.99, now £54.99 for Black Friday 2019

Online Nintendo Switch game offers:

As with PS4, details are still thin on the ground for Tesco’s plans when it comes to the Nintendo Switch. The newest of the three main consoles and likely the most in-demand this holiday season, there’s now two versions of the Switch to pick from – the full model and the Lite, which is handheld only.

The main model currently retails for £279.99, while the Switch Lite has an RRP of £199.99. Nintendo hardware is notorious for holding its price and this, combined with the fact that the Switch is selling like hotcakes and has several years left in the tank, means we’re not likely to see any discounts of the magnitude of those that look likely on Xbox.

Several retailers have already dropped the price of their Switch Lite listings down to £189.99, which would suggest Tesco may drop to £179.99, which would be an excellent deal. The full Switch is harder to judge, as this frequently holds at £279 but has a game added in for a discount or even for free – something Tesco are unlikely to offer in-store. Perhaps £269 or maybe even £259 could be on the cards.

And just in case you missed any of these great deals…

There’s no denying just how good these Tesco deals are but they are incredibly rare, and won’t be around for long. If you’ve found yourself reading this when the deals have already expired, we feel your pain! But there’s plenty more offers for you to consider, and here’s the pick of our favourites below.
