One of the PlayStation 4’s last big exclusives, Ghost of Tsushima developed by Sucker Punch, finally received an official release date yesterday. The news was announced over on the PlayStation Blog, where it was confirmed that the Samurai slasher will be arriving this Summer, on Friday, June 26. It’s time to sharpen those swords!

A new story trailer was also released with the announcement, which we’ve pulled in for you to watch below:

However, just in case a release date reveal and new story trailer weren’t enough, Sony also spoiled fans by showcasing the never-before-seen Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition – which is a GAME Exclusive here in the UK and is available to pre-order now. It’ll set you back £159.99 but does include a selection of physical ephemera you can’t get anywhere else, as well as various in-game goodies that should appeal to the most determined of players.

In addition to a physical steelbook edition of the game, PS4 players that pre-order the Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition can look forward to the following content:

  • Sakai Mask with Stand
  • Cloth Map
  • Sashimono (War Banner)
  • Furoshiki (Wrapping Cloth)
  • 48-page Mini Art Book by Dark Horse
  • 1 Technique Point*
  • Charm of Hachiman’s Favor*
  • Hero of Tsushima Skin Set*: Golden Mask, Body Armor, Sword Kit, Horse, Saddle
  • Director’s Commentary*: The creative team sits down with a renowned Japanese historian to look at the world of Ghost of Tsushima and how it compares to the real-life events that inspired it
  • Ghost of Tsushima Samurai Theme*in-game items unlocked via story progression
  • Ghost of Tsushima Digital Mini Soundtrack
  • Ghost of Tsushima Jin Dynamic Theme

The showcase item here is obviously the Sakai Mask and its accompanying stand, which serves as a full replication of the item worn by your protagonist in game. All these bits and bobs certainly look impressive, offering prospective pre-orderers plenty of bang for their buck. However, just in case the Collector’s Edition is out of your budget, GAME have got you covered with a special edition that also went up for pre-order. It’s just £20 more than the standard edition of the game and still comes packaged in a steelbook and several digital goods:
