As the Holiday season swiftly approaches and Summer soon comes to an end, gamers who play on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch have plenty of high-profile releases to still look forward to. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (October 2nd)

The first true sequel to 1998’s Crash Bandicoot: Warped in over a decade, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is an appropriately named 3D platformer that sees the iconic PlayStation mascot spin his way to PS4 and now also Xbox One. It features the same linear gameplay as the original three games for the most part, only now you can switch between characters on a level-by-level basis and an integrated mask system bestows Crash and friends with a range of gravity-defying abilities. The bandicoot is back in a fresh adventure that arrives on October 2nd, 2020.

Star Wars: Squadrons (October 2nd)

It’s been a while since we’ve had a flight-based game set in the film franchise set far, far away. Fret not, however, because that final ends on October 2nd when Star Wars: Squadrons releases on PS4 and Xbox One. Remothered: Broken Porcelain (October 13th)

October is of course Halloween month, and the first real spooky game set to capitalise on all the potential chills is Remothered: Broken Porcelain. Simultaneously a prequel and sequel to 2018’s Remothered: Tormented Fathers, this is a time-hopping ghost story that will test your ability to stealth and sneak as you unfold the mystery of a creepy children’s home. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit (October 16th)

One of the most surprising announcements to come out of Nintendo’s recent Direct celebrating Mario’s birthday was the news of augmented reality spin-off for Mario Kart. Known officially as Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, you have the choose to pick up the Mario or Luigi variant, which will gift you with all the tools needed to transform your living space into the ultimate real-world circuit. The track will appear on the Switch’s screen and depict obstacles in real time, all as you see the toy whizz around your flat or house. Look forward to it on October 16th, 2020.

Watch Dogs Legion (October 29th)

Watch Dogs Legion finally releases at the end of October after countless delays from earlier this year. Set in a dystopian London that’s being ruled by a police state, it’s up to you to recruit your choice of NPCs to make the DedSec hacktivist group as strong as it possibly can be. It differs from previous entries in that there is no main character. Instead, you can become absolutely anyone and use the unique skills to fight back against a controlled city. Watch Dogs Legion arrives on October 29th.

From the creators of Until Dawn, Little Hope is the next entry into Supermassive Games’ planned anthology of bite-sized choose-your-own-adventure stories. It’s the second game on this list to fully capitalise on the Halloween season, centring on a group of characters whose bus breaks down and leaves them stranded within the titular ghostly town of Little Hope.
