Buyer’s Guide: New Console Bundles and Games for October 2015

We’ve hit that time of year when the big guns start releasing big games, and the Big Three start tempting Christmas shoppers with new console bundles.

It’s a great time to be a gamer!

If you want to make the most of it, you need to know what’s coming out and when. So this month and throughout the run-up to Christmas, we’ll be providing a handy guide to the biggest new games and console bundles coming out each month.

So without further ado, here’s your gaming shopping guide for October 2015.

New console bundles for October 2015

 

 

PlayStation 4 1TB Assassins Creed Syndicate Bundle

Release date: 23 October 2015

The latest PS4 bundle packs in the newest model with 1 terabyte of storage, plus Ubisoft’s latest Assassins Creed game (more about that below). You’ll also get the usual DualShock 4 controller, leads and so on. Check our PS4 deals page for the best prices.

 

Xbox One Limited Edition 1TB Forza Motorsport 6 Bundle still available

Release date: out now

There aren’t any new Xbox One bundles releasing in October. But you can still get the Forza 6 edition with 1TB storage. It comes in a stylish blue, and even has car-themed start-up and disc-eject sounds. How much longer will these be available? Nintendo Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon Premium Pack

Release date: 30 October 2015

Want a Wii U with its two best online multiplayer games packed in? Your ideal bundle is coming very soon. Both Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon have won rave reviews and big online communities, and like most Nintendo games they can be enjoyed by all ages. Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4, XBO, PS3, 360)

Release date: 30 October

The world’s most popular game gets an adventure series spin-off from the people who brought you The Walking Dead. Guaranteed fun and guaranteed to sell by the squillion.

 

Halo 5: Guardians (XBO)

Release date: 27 October

Games don’t get much bigger than Halo, and here comes the series’ first Xbox One instalment. You already know if you’re buying this or not. Enjoy the carnage.

 

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (PS4, XBO)

Release date: 23 October

The newest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series takes place in London during the Industrial Revolution. Expect impressive open-world environments and stealthy gameplay.

 

The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes (3DS)

Release date: 23 October

This isn’t the first time Zelda has gone multiplayer – but it is the first time you can adventure with friends online. Solve puzzles in a team of three and enjoy all the usual Zelda goodness.

 

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below (PS4)

Release date: 16 October (out now)

Love Dragon Quest? Love those Warriors/Musou games? Good news – Square Enix has combined the two, and reviews out of Japan say it’s pretty good fun.
